Exhaust
For months I searched the Internet, contacted American companies, even called them, but a DC Sports header was nowhere to be found. This was due to the fact that DC Sports discontinued their header for the third generation Prelude some time ago. By chance, there was one in stock very near to me, at Total Car Concept. I wanted only a DC Sports header because it's of good quality. As you can see, it's a 4-2-1 header consisting of two separate parts

This header is ceramically coated to prevent it from rusting. I'd rather have had a stainless steel header, but I didn't have a choice. Also unfortunate are the two holes in it for O2 sensors, and one extension for the EGR system. I don't need either one of these, as I have a B20A7. In the holes for the oxygen sensors, I put block-off plugs, and I will cut off the EGR extension and have it welded shut.
To still have something unique, I want to chrome-plate the first part of the header. The chrome will turn blueish by the heat of the exhaust gasses near the flange, but I rather like that.
I was able to buy this three year old Sebring exhaust for a friendly price. It's a stainless steel exhaust specially made for the third generation 16-valve Prelude. I still intend to buy a full custom mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust with an A'PEXi WS2 damper, but meanwhile this Sebring exhaust will do just fine.

I cleaned the two chromed round end tips with metal polish, so they look like new again. On the right you see what the muffler looks like mounted.

This is what it looks like with the rear bumper on. While putting the bumper into place, I noticed the exhaust still touches the bumper, so I'll have to cut a part out of it. The diameter of the end tips is 76mm, by the way.

My A'PEXi World Sport 2 exhaust system (made for a 4th gen Prelude Vtec) came in this week. I think it'll fit fine, but the brackets have to be relocated. I'll have that done by a shop next week. Off course I will take some pictures then.

The APEXi WS2 exhaust system has a muffler made of the highest grade polished SUS304 stainless steel while the mandrel bent piping (60 mm) consists of high temperature, titanium particle coated mild steel for corrosion protection. This system is designed to provide excellent mid range power without excessive noise.

These are the cat converter and the first muffler, made of 60 mm mild steel with high temperature titanium coating. The cat converter won't be used for my car.
